The amateur theatre festival Tamerfest kicks off on Saturday, September 26, at the Sala El Rodaje with the play "Así es, si así os parece" by the Honda Teatro company. The following day, Sunday, September 27, the same venue hosts the family concert "En clave menor".
The Amateur Theatre Festival of Manzanares el Real (Tamerfest) begins this Saturday, September 26 with the opening event, featuring the Honda Teatro company and their play "Así es, si así os parece". The performance will take place at 20:00 hours in the Sala El Rodaje.
The plot follows the arrival in a small provincial town of a new official, Mr. Ponza, along with his wife and mother-in-law, an event that disrupts the lives of the residents. The three settle in separate houses, and their strange behaviour sparks gossip and speculation among the neighbours, who suspect that one of the two is lying. The author himself described the play as a "philosophical farce" that ironically addresses the problem of truth and critiques the intrusion into others' private lives.
Tickets for this first event of the festival cost 3 euros and can be purchased on the website www.youevent.es.
