The Lope de Vega Library opens registration for its reading clubs on August 31, with spots for adults, children, youth, and comics. Registration is free and will be open until September 21.

Residents of Tres Cantos who wish to share readings and discover new authors can formalise their registration for the reading clubs at the Municipal Library Lope de Vega starting on August 31. The registration period, which is completely free, will remain open until September 21, and the activities will take place between October 2026 and May 2027.

This year's offering maintains clubs for adults, children, youth, and comics, with groups and schedules designed for different ages. Spots are limited, and if demand exceeds availability, a public draw will be held on September 21 at 20:00.

The Adult Reading Club, aimed at those over 18, will have four shifts of 25 participants each. Three will be in-person: one on Fridays from 10:30 to 12:30 and two in the evening, on Mondays and Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:30. The fourth shift will be online, on Wednesdays at the same evening time. Meetings will be held monthly, with a total of nine sessions.

Among the selected works for adults are titles by Julian Barnes, Carson McCullers, Vladimir Nabokov, Ana Rodríguez Fischer, Pedro Salinas, Samanta Schweblin, Olga Tokarczuk, and Juan Gabriel Vásquez. The Councillor for Culture, Elisa Lidia Miguel, has emphasised that the clubs “have consolidated as meeting spaces around books, where people of different ages can share their impressions, discover new names, and enjoy reading in a completely participatory way.”

The children's programming is divided into two clubs of 15 participants each, for children aged 6 to 8 years and 9 to 11 years. Sessions will be held one Friday a month, from 17:15 to 18:30, with readings and activities tailored to each age group. The Youth Reading Club, on the other hand, will offer 15 spots for boys and girls aged 12 to 14, with meetings one Monday a month, from 17:30 to 18:30, over eight sessions.

The offering is completed with the Comic Reading Club, aimed at those over 16 and with a capacity for 25 people. Illustration, panels, and speech bubbles will be the focus of eight monthly meetings that will take place one Tuesday a month, from 19:00 to 20:30.

To register, it is only necessary to have the Unique Card and submit the corresponding form at the Municipal Library Lope de Vega or send it by email to bibliotecas@trescantos.es. All information and forms are available on the municipal website at www.trescantos.es/biblioteca.
