The Ciempozuelos Town Hall has launched a new line of grants to boost commercial reactivation and improve the urban environment. Merchants will be able to apply for these grants in the coming months.
The Ciempozuelos Town Hall has published the guidelines for a new call for grants aimed at commercial reactivation and the improvement of the municipality's urban environment. The initiative seeks to support local businesses and beautify the busiest streets and squares.
The grants, included in Annex II of the call, are directed at shops, hospitality, and small establishments that wish to modernise their facades, interiors, or facilities. Homeowner associations that undertake improvements in common areas affecting the urban image will also benefit.
According to the Town Hall, the objective is twofold: to strengthen the local commercial fabric and to make Ciempozuelos a more attractive place for residents and visitors. The grants will cover investments made from 1 January 2026, provided they are justified with invoices and comply with the requirements of the call.
The application period is now open and will remain active until 30 June 2026. Interested parties must submit the documentation through the municipal electronic headquarters or in person at the Town Hall's registry.
Eligible expenses include renovation works, accessibility improvements, installation of awnings or lighting, and acquisition of urban furniture. The maximum amount per beneficiary will be €5,000, with a limit of 50% of the total project cost.
The Town Council has set up an information service in the Commerce department to answer questions and advise on the necessary documentation. Practical guides will also be published on the municipal website and on notice boards.
With this measure, Ciempozuelos joins other municipalities in the Community of Madrid that have launched similar programmes to revitalise their urban centres after the economic and health crisis. The call will be financed from the municipal budget for 2026.
Merchants wishing to apply for these grants must submit a detailed project of the planned investment, budget, and execution schedule. The works must be completed before 31 December 2026 to justify the expenditure.
