The 'El Olivar' Centre for Childhood and Youth in Campo Real will offer an extended hours service at CEIP 'Miguel Delibes' during the new school year, with two shifts and a maximum of 30 places per shift, to help families balance work and childcare.

The new school year brings a reduction in teaching hours, and to assist families in juggling work with childcare, the 'El Olivar' Centre for Childhood and Youth in Campo Real has launched an extended hours service. The activity will take place at CEIP 'Miguel Delibes' and will start with the beginning of classes.

The service offers two distinct shifts: from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for children who do not use the school canteen, and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM for those who do stay for lunch. Each shift has a maximum of 30 places, and the monthly fee is 35 euros.

Registrations will be conducted in person from August 24 to September 3 at the 'El Olivar' Centre for Childhood and Youth. During August, the registration hours will be from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while from September 1, the centre's usual hours will resume.

This initiative is part of the Corresponsables Plan from the Ministry of Equality of the Spanish Government, a programme aimed at ensuring families with young children can balance their responsibilities. To formalise registration, interested families must submit the application form, which is already available on the Campo Real Town Hall website.

The measure responds to a real need for many families in the municipality, who find it difficult to align work schedules with the school calendar. With this extension, parents will be able to leave their children at school until 4:00 PM, thus avoiding the need to seek external resources.

Places are limited, so interested families are encouraged to formalise their registration as soon as possible. For more information, they can contact the 'El Olivar' Centre for Childhood and Youth or check the Town Hall's website.
