The City Council of Manzanares el Real has approved the bases to incorporate three new Local Police agents through a free competitive examination. The positions, included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer, will be filled through a four-phase process.
The City Council of Manzanares el Real has approved the bases that will govern the selection of three new Local Police agents, a process that will be conducted through the free competitive examination system. The call has been formalised by Resolution of the Mayor nº 2026-1960, dated 21 August 2026, and the positions are included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer of the municipality.
The positions belong to Group C, Subgroup C1, within the Special Administration Scale, category of Police of the Local Police Force. This call is promoted by the Department of Security and Emergencies with the aim of strengthening the human resources of the force and improving citizen attention.
The selection process consists of four phases: examination, merit competition, selective training course, and a practical period. The examination phase includes psychotechnical, cultural, physical tests, and a medical examination.
Among the physical tests are a 60-metre speed run, an 800-metre endurance run, medicine ball throw, standing long jump, and a 25-metre swimming test. Those who pass this phase will move on to the merit competition, where academic, professional, language merits, and police-related courses will be evaluated, with a maximum of two points.
Those selected must then pass a selective course at the Integral Training Institute of Security and Emergencies of the Community of Madrid (IFISE), with a minimum duration of 625 teaching hours. Subsequently, they will complete a six-month practical period in the City Council itself, where professional skills, responsibility, dedication, and interaction with citizens will be evaluated.
Requirements include having Spanish nationality, being at least 18 years old, holding a Baccalaureate, Technical or equivalent degree, meeting the required physical and mental conditions, having no criminal record, and possessing a class B driving licence or equivalent.
Applications must be submitted within 20 working days from the day after the publication of the extract in the Official State Gazette (BOE). The documentation and application form will be available at the General Registry of the City Council and on the municipal website.
All information regarding the process, as well as announcements and resolutions from the Qualifying Tribunal, will be published on the municipal website and on the notice board of the Electronic Headquarters. With this call, the City Council continues to strengthen public services and security in the municipality.
