Coslada Local Police arrested a man accused of stealing electrical materials from a new construction building. The arrest occurred following a witness's alert.
Officers from the Coslada Local Police arrested a man in the early hours of 21 August 2026 as the suspected perpetrator of a burglary at a new residential building located on Calle Colegio. The alert, received around 00:00 hours, reported the presence of an individual inside the property.
A witness who observed the events informed the officers that the suspect had jumped over the perimeter fence, which was about three metres high, from inside the construction site. Before fleeing, the man allegedly threw several bags containing stolen materials outside.
Thanks to the description provided by the witness, the officers located the individual nearby. Upon noticing the police presence, he attempted to leave the area hurriedly but was intercepted and arrested.
The arrested man had electrical materials in his possession, specifically several dozen cables, presumably for later sale as copper. He was taken to the facilities of the National Police, where the corresponding proceedings were initiated.
The quick action of the witness and the response of the Local Police have clarified an incident affecting the safety of a developing residential area. The arrested individual is at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
