The Municipal Auditorium Raphael in Boadilla del Monte is hosting the performance of the zarzuela 'La tabernera del puerto' at 19:30. The show is part of the municipality's cultural programme.

The play is set in the port of Cantabreda, a small town on the Cantabrian coast where shady dealings, smuggling, and petty crime occur. The dark atmosphere of the weather and the rocky beach explain why fishermen alternate fishing with other illegal activities.

Among the characters is Juan de Eguía, an old sea wolf who acts alongside his henchmen Verdier and Simpson. The three use a small tavern by the port as a front, where Marola uses her charms to attract the sailors.

Tickets are available on the municipal website's sales platform, www.entradasboadilla.es. Public sales open the Monday before each performance from 9:00.

Prices are 20 euros for residents, 10 euros at a reduced rate for residents over 65, under 12, and people with disabilities, and 40 euros for non-residents.
