The Joan Miró Sociocultural Centre in Móstoles hosts the exhibition 'Love Visual Perspective' by the Los Picassos collective from the 28th of September to the 8th of October. The exhibition reviews over 12 years of artistic journey by individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The plastic arts collective Los Picassos, made up of individuals with intellectual disabilities from the AMÁS Foundation, presents the exhibition 'Love Visual Perspective' in Móstoles. The exhibition will be open from 28th September to 8th October at the Joan Miró Sociocultural Centre.
The exhibition covers more than 12 years of the collective's journey. During this time, its members have expressed their capacity to love through art, as explained by the AMÁS Foundation.
The guiding thread of the exhibition is a tree that forms a timeline about the meaning of life. Through this structure, the exhibition addresses three axes: creating, sharing, and loving. As a conclusion to the journey, visitors will be able to see a short documentary about the collective's journey and their creative process.
The AMÁS Foundation is an organization that supports, promotes, and defends the rights of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Its network of centres and services caters to over 1,800 individuals with intellectual disabilities, supported by 750 professionals.
The exhibition will be open at the Joan Miró Sociocultural Centre in Móstoles from 28th September to 8th October. The centre thus hosts a proposal that showcases the unique perspective of an artistic collective that, according to the foundation, knows no limits.
