The municipality of Los Santos de la Humosa launches 'Sabor a Madrid TV', a space that brings local gastronomy and products closer to residents through municipal television.
The City Council of Los Santos de la Humosa has launched 'Sabor a Madrid TV', a new local television programme dedicated to gastronomy and the products of the region. The initiative kicks off this week and will be broadcast through municipal channels, aiming to promote Madrid cuisine and local commerce.
The programme, produced in-house, will feature the participation of local chefs, producers, and hospitality professionals, who will showcase traditional recipes and introduce local ingredients. According to municipal sources, the proposal aims to boost local consumption and provide engaging content for all audiences, from the youngest to the oldest.
The first episode will include a tour of the markets and shops in the municipality, as well as an interview with a local chef who will prepare a typical dish from the Sierra Norte. Residents will be able to follow the programme during prime time, with reruns over the weekend to facilitate viewing.
This initiative is part of the council's strategy to invigorate the cultural and economic life of Los Santos de la Humosa, a municipality with just over 2,500 inhabitants. The mayor has highlighted that 'Sabor a Madrid TV' will serve to highlight the gastronomic heritage and help citizens better understand the resources in their surroundings.
The programme will also be available on the City Council's website and on municipal social media, where full episodes will be published. Broadcasts will begin this Thursday at 21:00, and it is expected that the local audience will respond positively to this commitment to local television.
With this proposal, Los Santos de la Humosa joins other municipalities in the Community of Madrid that have opted for their own audiovisual content to promote local identity and nearby commerce. The programming will be expanded based on audience reception.
