Pianist Noelia Rodiles will perform on Saturday, October 3 at 20:00 at the Pilar Bardem auditorium in Rivas-Vaciamadrid with the Rivas Alma Mahler Symphony. The concert 'An American in Paris' opens the autumn subscription, which includes three events for 37.50 euros.
The Rivas Alma Mahler Symphony begins its 2026-2027 subscription season with the concert 'An American in Paris', which will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 20:00 at the Pilar Bardem auditorium in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. Pianist Noelia Rodiles will be the guest soloist at this first event, conducted by Jorge G. Cuenllas.
The programme crosses the Atlantic to explore 20th-century American music. It opens with 'Symphony No. 1' by Florence Price and continues with 'Rhapsody in Blue' by George Gershwin, which Rodiles will perform on piano, and the symphonic poem 'An American in Paris'.
The autumn season consists of three concerts. After the one on October 3, Saturday, November 7 at 20:00 features 'Amor brujo', with guest conductor Lucía Marín and singer Mariola Membrives, including works by Laura Vega, Mozart, and Manuel de Falla. The cycle concludes with the New Year's Concert on Friday, January 1, 2027 at 20:00, conducted by Jorge García Cuenllas, featuring pieces by Kodály, Augusta Holmès, and Johann Strauss II.
The subscription for the three events costs 37.50 euros, which is 25% less than purchasing individually. Each concert thus costs 12.50 euros, compared to 16 euros for a single ticket (18 euros for the New Year's Concert). Subscriptions and tickets can be purchased on the municipal website entradas.rivasciudad.es and at the auditorium box office.
Priority sales for former subscribers will be on Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10. General subscription sales will begin on Friday, September 11, and individual tickets for each concert will go on sale starting Monday, September 21.
The complete 2026-2027 season, titled 'Love, Passion, and Revolution', will include six concerts: the three autumn concerts will be followed by a second subscription of three more for the first half of 2027.
