Rivas-Vaciamadrid incorporates comics into its cultural programme with RIVASCÓMIC, an event that will take place from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25 at the Federico García Lorca cultural centre. The initiative stems from the participatory budgets of 2025, where the proposal from the neighbourhood association Rivas Futura was one of the most voted with 1,092 votes. The Department of Culture has brought it to fruition a year later.
The programme includes workshops, two exhibitions, round tables, meetings with artists, signings, and a photocall in the central courtyard. All proposals are free. Only the workshops require registration on the municipal registration website.
