The Centre for Art and Tourism in Soto del Real will host five comedy shows from September to December. Stand-up, musical parody, improvisation, and family theatre make up the fourth edition.
Humour is once again the star in Soto del Real. The Centre for Art and Tourism (CAT) will host the fourth edition of the Comedy Festival from late September to December, featuring five shows that combine stand-up, musical parody, improvisation, and family theatre.
The programme kicks off on Saturday, September 26 at 20:00 with Sinacio and his show “Toca reír”. The comedian, actor, magician, and presenter, a pioneer of stand-up and known for his appearances on El Club de la Comedia, will offer 75 minutes of live humour for audiences aged 16 and over. Advance tickets cost 12 euros and 15 at the box office.
On October 24, the Aragonese duo Los Gandules will arrive with their parodic versions of well-known songs. Tobo Gandul and Dun Gandul have been performing for over two decades. The advance price is 16 euros and 20 at the box office.
On November 7, it will be the turn of Lore Navarro, David César, and Joseba Pérez with “La Liamos Parda”, a show featuring jokes, characters, personal experiences, and improvisation. Advance tickets cost 12 euros and 16 at the box office.
On December 12, the Cadiz natives Fernando Bernal and Juancho Bernabé will perform “Chisteando”, a show of stand-up, improvisation, and games with the audience. The advance price is 13 euros and 18 at the box office.
The festival will close the year with a family-friendly proposal. On Tuesday, December 29 at 18:30, “La mansión encantada… de conocerte” will be performed, a theatrical adventure where children participate through games and scientific experiments. The play, awarded the Best Children’s Theatre Play at the Noctívagos 18 Festival, also addresses healthy habits and bullying. Advance tickets cost 6 euros and 8 at the box office.
The Councillor for Culture, Almudena Sánchez, highlighted that the festival has become a highly anticipated event for the locals. “This fourth edition once again offers a very varied programme, with great comedians, different formats of humour, and a family proposal to close the year. We want the CAT to continue being a meeting place where people can enjoy culture and share good moments,” she stated.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at a lower price than at the box office through the festival's website.
