The offer grows by two courses compared to last year and includes new groups for Watercolour, Drawing and Pilates. Enrolment starts on 2nd September.
The Municipal School of Cultural Workshops in Tres Cantos will offer 113 courses in the 2026-2027 season, two more than the previous year. The programme will be taught from October at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Centre and the 21 de Marzo Building.
The offer is organised into five areas: Plastic Arts and Crafts, Theoretical, Languages, Image and New Technologies, and Body Expression. Notably, the groups for Watercolour and Drawing have been expanded, and Pilates adds a fifth schedule to the existing four.
In the Theoretical area, new courses include Historical Figures, How to Read a Painting, and Memory Gymnastics Workshop. Activities such as Astronomy, Creative Writing, Wine Tasting, Practical Cooking, and Discovering Madrid are also offered, the latter including visits to museums, exhibitions, and iconic spots.
The offer is completed with branches of History such as Universal, Art, Spain, Religions, Mythology, and Crime. In Image and New Technologies, there are courses on Digital Photography, Basic and Advanced Computing, Smartphones, Social Media, Fundamentals of Graphic Design, Photoshop, and WordPress.
Body Expression includes pilfusion, relaxation techniques, gymnastics and movements for health, GAP, pilates, yoga, yogilates, Latin rhythms, and sevillanas. In languages, there will be 16 groups of English, four of French, four of Italian, two of German, and two of Spanish for foreigners.
Adults enrolled in Plastic Arts can choose between Watercolour, Painting, and Drawing, as well as a joint mode of Drawing and Watercolour. There will also be specific groups for these disciplines for children and teenagers.
Enrolment is carried out in two phases: former students can formalise it on 2nd and 3rd September, and new applications will be processed from 7th to 16th September according to the specialty. The process will take place at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Centre.
The lists of admitted students will be published on 21st September. For more information, you can call 91 293 81 23 from 2nd September or check prices and schedules on the municipal website.
The Councillor for Culture, Elisa Lidia Miguel, has highlighted that the expansion responds to the interest of the residents and reminded that last year there were 897 enrolments.
