The municipality has attracted over 420 million euros in private investment since 2023, with 15 major projects and 1,196 new homes underway.
The municipality of Boadilla del Monte has secured over 420 million euros in private investment over the past three years, according to data provided by the City Council. This figure includes more than 300 million mobilised by major business and service projects and an estimated investment of 120 million in private housing development.
In addition to this amount, public investment in protected housing has reached 96 million euros, jointly promoted by the City Council of Boadilla del Monte and the Community of Madrid. More than 20 million euros have also been allocated by Canal de Isabel II for the renewal of the water supply network.
The business investment comes from fifteen major strategic projects linked to healthcare, education, sports, commerce, and services. Some of these initiatives are already operational and serving residents, while others are in their final execution phase and will open in the coming months. Among them is the new Hospital Hospiten, which is expected to open before the end of this year.
The investments are distributed across various areas of the municipality. In Valdecabañas, Boadilla Hills is being developed; the Parque Empresarial Prado del Espino houses the new Hospital Hospiten, La Colmena de Mercadona, the B&B Hotel, and the expansion of the Fundación ONCE del Perro Guía; in Montepríncipe, the Montepríncipe University Hospital is being expanded alongside a new university; in Las Lomas, the David Lloyd sports complex is located; in Los Fresnos, the expansion of the Highlands school; in Valenoso, a new Mercadona supermarket, a Hiper Usera, and an El Kiosko establishment; in La Cárcava, a new Carrefour; at the Club Las Encinas, the new Toni Kroos sports centre; and in El Olivar de Mirabal, the new paddle courts.
Urban development has also maintained a high pace. In the last three years, 93 major construction permits have been granted for the construction of 1,196 homes, of which 632 correspond to protected housing and 564 to free housing. These new developments have increased the residential stock of Boadilla del Monte by nearly 6%, which previously had around 20,100 homes.
The investment associated with this residential growth is estimated at 216 million euros, of which 96 million corresponds to the promotion of protected housing and 120 million is associated with private housing developments. This growth has been accompanied by the establishment of new hospitals, educational centres, sports facilities, shops, and services.
Public-private collaboration is enabling the population increase to be matched with new services, facilities, and economic opportunities, while simultaneously maintaining the residential character, quality of life, and natural heritage of the municipality.
