Móstoles Desarrollo has obtained €600,000 from the RedCyTI call of RED.es for the Móstoles Smart Trades & Industry 4.0 Hub project. The initiative will mobilise €1.5 million with a municipal contribution of €900,000.
Móstoles Desarrollo has secured €600,000 in funding to launch the Móstoles Smart Trades & Industry 4.0 Hub project, an initiative aimed at anticipating the needs of the local business fabric and connecting training, talent, and employment. The project has been selected in the competitive RedCyTI call of RED.es, which has chosen 52 initiatives from across Spain. Móstoles is the only municipality in the Community of Madrid included in the list.
The action will have a total budget of €1.5 million. The grant obtained covers 40%, €600,000, while the City Council of Móstoles will contribute the remaining €900,000, which is 60% of the investment.
The selection was made based on criteria such as digital maturity, impact on economic development, and sustainability of the project, as reported by Móstoles Desarrollo.
We have designed a project capable of competing at a national level and attracting resources for Móstoles. That is our goal: to take advantage of all funding opportunities and transform them into projects that generate employment, improve the competitiveness of our companies, and have a real impact on the city," declared the mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista.
The project will allow the development of tools to know in real time the needs of companies and the demanded professional profiles, as well as to design new digital training, skills improvement pathways, and professional reconversion programmes. For the companies and entrepreneurs of Móstoles, it will mean new ways to access talent, boost innovation, and strengthen the competitiveness of the local productive fabric.
Among the planned actions is the development of a digital twin of trades, which will improve the analysis and planning of the productive ecosystem and provide more accurate information to anticipate needs and guide decision-making. The initiative will also strengthen collaboration between companies, training entities, and administration.
This is the first project presented with the Technical Office of European Funds, and we have already managed to secure €600,000 for the city. It is the result of the work done to identify funding opportunities, present competitive projects, and turn them into investment and opportunities for Móstoles," noted the delegated councillor of Móstoles Desarrollo, Ángeles García.
The RedCyTI call of RED.es has selected a total of 52 projects across Spain. The one from Móstoles is the only one in the Community of Madrid that has obtained funding in this edition.
