The Popular University of Rivas-Vaciamadrid has opened the registration period for the 2026-2027 course, which will be active from September 1 to 30. The offer includes 27 workshops and around 1,700 places, as reported by the Department of Culture.
Interested individuals must register through the website or email provided by the teaching staff of each workshop. The exception is the tai chi and chi kung workshops, which are managed directly by the City Council, with registrations taking place on the municipal website inscripcionesmunicipales.rivasciudad.es.
The workshops are organised into four areas: plastic arts and crafts, performing arts, humanities and training, and image, as well as health and wellness. Among the new offerings this year is a pre-dance workshop for children aged 5 to 8, which will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 18:00, and a embroidery workshop, with an intensive course on Friday afternoons or Wednesday mornings.
The former cutting and sewing workshop is now called sewing workshop, with a more open approach: each student can work on their own project, whether learning pattern making, taking patterns from magazines, or doing creative sewing, adapting to the level of each participant.
The registration fee and monthly fee are determined by the teaching staff of each workshop, not the City Council. All information regarding content, schedules, and prices is available in the 2026-2027 course brochure, which can be consulted on the municipal website.
