On September 15, Campo Real hosts the Olympics for Clubs. Groups can register until September 14 and compete for prizes such as a ham.
The clubs of Campo Real already have a date marked on their calendars. On September 15, the Olympics for Clubs will be held, a team competition that combines various challenges and gastronomic prizes. Registration will be open from today until September 14 through a Google form.
The organisation has set a minimum of 5 registered clubs for the event to take place, with a maximum of 10 groups. Each club must consist of between 5 and 14 people, although only 5 members chosen by the team will participate in each challenge. The registration deadline is September 14 and only one registration per club is allowed, although it is possible to indicate if a second group wants to register, which will be considered if there are free spots.
To participate, each group must wear their club's uniform t-shirt and designate an adult who will be responsible for the team and accept the rules. The form will request the details of all participants (first name, surname, and contact phone number) and optionally, those of two reserves.
The prizes for the top three finishers are typical products: the winner will receive a ham, the second a selection of cheese and olives, and the third chorizo and salchichón. The organisation emphasises that the aim is to promote camaraderie and healthy competition, so the consumption of alcohol during the challenges is prohibited and anyone who does not respect the rules or shows a lack of respect may be expelled.
The challenges will begin at 20:00 hours, although it is recommended to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, swimwear, and appropriate footwear, as the challenges may include water or movement activities. If a team cannot attend, they must notify at least 24 hours in advance.
The activity is open to all audiences and aims to bring together the residents of Campo Real around their clubs. Registrations are made through a Google form that the organisation has published on its official channels.
