The town of Mataelpino, part of the municipality of El Boalo, will gather locals and visitors on August 24 around its traditional popular paella, one of the central events of the San Bartolomé festivities. The gathering will take place at 14:00 in the Plaza de España.
As every year, the aim is to share a table and enjoy a good atmosphere on the main day of the festivities. The cost of the dish will be 3 euros, which will be paid directly in the square, although access will also be available with the festival pass.
The organisers encourage attendees to arrive hungry and to participate in this communal meal, which has become one of the most anticipated events of the summer in the Madrid mountains.
The event is part of a broader festive programme that will take place in the days leading up to it, with activities for all audiences. The paella, however, is the moment when the community gathers around the same table.
