The City Council has made public the extracts of the decisions, which directly affect the municipal management in the coming weeks.
Among the approved points, the award of a maintenance contract for green areas stands out, with a base bidding budget of 120,000 euros and an execution period of two years. This action aims to ensure the care of parks and gardens in the municipality, a service that impacts the quality of life of residents.
In urban matters, the Board has granted a major works license for the rehabilitation of a building on Calle Real, a listed property that will house commercial uses on the ground floor and residences above. The action, promoted by a private individual, must comply with the regulations for the protection of the historic centre.
Additionally, the contracting file for the urban solid waste collection service, currently provided by an external company, has been approved. The new contract, with an estimated value of 1.5 million euros per year, includes improvements in frequency of service and the incorporation of smart containers, according to municipal sources.
In the economic section, the Board has agreed to the approval of the general account for the 2025 financial year, which reflects a positive treasury surplus of 3.2 million euros. This surplus, according to the government team, will allow for pending investments without resorting to new debt.
