A resident of Garganta de los Montes has given a lesson in civic duty by independently picking up the rubbish that others had left lying in the ferns of the municipality. The Town Hall itself, which has shared the gesture through its social media, has publicly thanked his attitude, although it has chosen not to reveal his name out of respect for his humility.

According to the council, the resident loaded the waste into his car and took it down to the town's bins. An action that, they point out, "demonstrates true love for our land" and makes those who perform it "an example to follow."

The Town Hall has taken the opportunity to launch a message of awareness: "Nature gifts us with incredible landscapes, the least we can do is respect it." They remind everyone of the basic rule for those who enjoy the mountains: "If you bring it to the mountains, take it back with you in your backpack."

The local corporation insists that caring for the environment is everyone's responsibility and appreciates gestures like this, which help keep a natural space that belongs to "everyone" clean.
