Alejandra Rubio has reported on her social media the harassment she suffered this Thursday alongside her partner, Carlos, and their child from a paparazzo who followed them in a car and drove recklessly. The collaborator, who is over eight months pregnant, recounted in a video posted on TikTok that she experienced a "horrible situation" and felt "scared" for her safety and that of her family.
According to her testimony, the incident occurred when they were leaving their home by car with their child. A press vehicle began to follow them and "bump" their car, with sudden stops and accelerations. Rubio explained that, although they are used to having the press regularly at their doorstep and maintain a "fairly good relationship" with the usual reporters, on this occasion the driver's behaviour was "super violent".
When Carlos got out to confront him about his attitude, the paparazzo insulted and provoked him, and nearly hit a resident of the neighbourhood who had come out onto the street. Rubio called the police, but the driver managed to escape. "He ended up getting away, unfortunately," she lamented, although she claims to have videos of the car and recognised the man from previous encounters.
I do not expose myself to putting my life and my family's life in danger for a photo," Rubio stated, calling for reflection so that "this does not happen again.
The collaborator, who appeared "nervous" and with "a horrible panic attack", explained that Carlos wanted to get out of the car to confront the man, but she stopped him to prevent the situation from escalating. "What I needed was to witness my partner getting hit with my child there in front," she said.
Rubio concluded by thanking the usual press for their treatment, but made it clear that "this type of press is not acceptable". "I hope we truly reflect on this," she added.
