The Boadilla del Monte Town Hall has begun work on a footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the M-513 that will connect El Pastel with Valenoso and Olivar Tercera Fase. The infrastructure, measuring 250 metres, is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2027.
The Boadilla del Monte Town Hall has initiated the construction of a footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the M-513. The structure will directly connect El Pastel with Valenoso and Olivar Tercera Fase, areas where around 15,000 residents live.
The footbridge will be approximately 250 metres long, including its access points. The central span will be a steel structure, while the access points will be constructed with reinforced concrete ramps. The entire structure will be finished with a protective reddish oxide coating, aesthetically in line with the area.
The works will also include the installation of lighting and urban furniture, as well as the necessary actions to adapt or divert existing services that may be affected during the construction.
This project represents an investment of nearly three million euros. According to the Town Hall, the footbridge is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2027.
This infrastructure adds to the three other footbridges already installed over the same road. One connects the green corridor of Viñas Viejas with the existing one in Valenoso; another links the historical urbanisations with the town centre, and the third connects Olivar de Mirabal, El Pastel, Cortijo Sur, and La Cárcava with the avenue Víctimas del Terrorismo, also in Valenoso.
