The Boadilla del Monte City Council will join the initiative of the FEMP and will hold an open event on September 2 at 20:00 in front of the Administrative Headquarters to show support for Ceuta and the Security Forces.

On September 2, Boadilla del Monte will host a public support event for the people of Ceuta, called by the City Council as part of an initiative by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). The event will take place at 20:00 in front of the door of the Administrative Headquarters (calle Juan Carlos I, 42).

The meeting, which is open and participatory, aims to express the affection and closeness of the residents towards the people of Ceuta and to acknowledge the work being carried out by the Army, the Guardia Civil, and the National Police. During the event, a space will be provided for those who wish to leave written messages of support, affection, and solidarity.

The show of support will continue in the municipal street naming. The City Council will name two new roundabouts being constructed on Avenida Monte Segovia after Ceuta Autonomous City and Melilla Autonomous City, as part of the renovation works on this road. The new names will serve as a permanent recognition of both Spanish cities.

With this dual initiative, the municipality aims to emphasise its unity with Ceuta and Melilla and to thank the security forces for their work at the border. Residents who wish to participate in the event on September 2 only need to go to the door of the Administrative Headquarters at the indicated time.
