The municipal reconciliation programme reaches up to 56% more users in the last week of August. In June, registrations grew by 42% compared to the previous year.
The Campo Real Town Hall has reviewed its Urban Summer Camps, an urban camp that has set participation records this year, with an increase of up to 56% in the last week of August compared to the previous edition. The programme, part of the Corresponsables Plan of the Ministry of Equality, has served dozens of children throughout the summer.
The camp started in June with 85 registered children, compared to 60 last year, representing an increase of nearly 42%. During July, the highest figures were reached, with around 120 participants in the first weeks, and in the second half of the month, participation remained around 100 children, with a higher demand for additional places.
In August, the upward trend continued: in the first two weeks, 50 children participated compared to 38 the previous summer (a 32% increase), and in the last week, 28 participants were reached compared to 18 in 2025, an increase of 56%. Among the new features of this period is the excursion to the beach in Parla, added to the programme this year.
The programme, under the theme ‘Multiverse TV’, has included scavenger hunts, a Got Talent show, activities inspired by MasterChef, costume contests, San Fermines, Grand Prix, escape rooms, water games, sports, and crafts. For this, the team has included 12 professionals, including a monitor dedicated to children with special needs, and 13 interns who have passed through the camp throughout the summer.
In addition to providing an educational leisure alternative, the Urban Camps have contributed to work-life balance: between 25 and 32 families used the dining service daily from the last week of June and throughout July.
The Town Hall values these results as support for an initiative that combines fun, learning, inclusion, and reconciliation during school holidays.
