The residents of Colmenarejo now have the urban solid waste collection fee charged to their accounts, after a technical issue with the bank delayed the charge originally scheduled for August 4.
The Colmenarejo Town Hall has confirmed that the direct debit receipts for the urban solid waste collection fee have been processed during the morning of this Tuesday, August 11, after the technical issue that had prevented their processing was resolved.
The file with the receipts was sent on August 3 for the charge to be made the following day, but a failure at the bank caused the charge not to be completed on that date. The council assures that the issue was detected and communicated immediately, and that the bank resolved it as quickly as possible.
According to municipal sources, the charge in the taxpayers' accounts was made during the morning today. Residents who have the receipt set up for direct debit can check with their bank that the amount has already been withdrawn.
The Town Hall has apologised for any inconvenience this delay may have caused and appreciates the residents' understanding. The waste fee is an annual tax charged for the provision of urban waste collection services.
