The second phase of the renovation of the street of Rosario has finished. From this Friday, 14th August, it is possible to walk and use the parking spaces at the square of Our Lady of Rosario.
The works of the second phase of the renovation of the street of Rosario, in Hoyo de Manzanares, have concluded. From this Friday, 14th August 2026, pedestrian access to the street is now open and the parking spaces at the square of Our Lady of Rosario are operational for regular use again.
However, vehicular traffic will have to wait a few more days: the Town Hall has set its reopening for next Friday, 21st August. Until then, drivers will have to continue using the alternative routes established during the works.
The council has expressly thanked the understanding and patience of the residents during the development of the works, which have caused inconveniences in a central and frequently passed area. It has also apologised for the discomfort caused.
With this action, the governing team continues its objective of improving accessibility and the aesthetics of the municipality. The street of Rosario is one of the busiest roads in the urban area, and its renovation has been carried out in two phases to minimise the impact.
The complete opening of the street, including vehicular traffic, is scheduled for the 21st. Residents will be able to regain normality in their movements and in the use of the parking spaces at the square, which have been available since today.
