The Moraleja de Enmedio Town Hall has published a decree banning the use of glass containers during the Cultural Week and the Fiestas Mayores 2026, aiming to ensure safety and cleanliness.

The Moraleja de Enmedio Town Hall has issued a municipal decree prohibiting the use of glass containers during the Cultural Week and the Fiestas Mayores 2026, a measure designed to prevent accidents and facilitate the cleaning of public spaces.

The restriction applies to all celebration areas, including squares, streets, and fairgrounds. The council recommends attendees use plastic cups or bottles or shatterproof materials for consuming drinks.

The decree, dated August 2026, is part of the special security and coexistence plan that the municipality is preparing for these dates. The measure is similar to those adopted in previous editions, when glass was also restricted to reduce the risk of cuts and litter in urban furniture.

Residents and visitors must comply with the rule throughout the festive events. Non-compliance could result in financial penalties, as established in the municipal coexistence ordinances.

The council reminds that the goal is for the festivities to proceed normally and for all attendees to enjoy a safe environment. To this end, the presence of cleaning services and Local Police officers will be reinforced during the specified days.
