The Town Hall of Los Santos de la Humosa will hold an informative meeting about the country encierros, a tradition that brings together locals and visitors. The meeting will serve to explain the route, safety measures, and participation.
The Town Hall of Los Santos de la Humosa has called for an informative meeting to announce the details of the country encierros, one of the traditional events in the municipality. The meeting will take place on Thursday, June 12 at 19:00 hours in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall, as announced by the local government team.
During the session, municipal officials and organizers will explain the planned route, the safety measures that will be applied, and the participation rules for the runners. Traffic restrictions and road closures affecting the urban centre during the event will also be addressed.
The meeting is open to all interested residents, especially those who wish to participate as runners or volunteer. The Town Hall reminds that attendance is free and prior registration is not necessary.
We want all residents to know firsthand how the encierro will develop and to resolve their doubts before the day of the event, said the mayor of Los Santos de la Humosa.
The country encierros, which have been held in the municipality for decades, are part of the patron saint festivities in honour of the Virgin of La Humosa, which will take place at the end of August. The previous edition gathered nearly 500 participants, a figure that the Town Hall hopes to surpass this year.
For those unable to attend the meeting, the Town Hall has set up a consultation mailbox on the municipal electronic headquarters where questions can be sent until June 10. The answers will be published on the official Town Hall website.
The informative meeting is part of the preparations for one of the most anticipated events on the local calendar, which each year attracts visitors from nearby municipalities in the Community of Madrid and Guadalajara.
