The Valmores Cultural Centre will host an event on Friday, October 2, featuring tributes to September birthdays, the presentation of the 2026/2027 season, a recital by Adela H. Herranz, and the play "El móvil de Margarita".
The Municipal Service for the Elderly of Nuevo Baztán, under the Department of Elderly Affairs, has organised a special event for Friday, October 2 to commemorate the International Day of Older Persons, which is celebrated every October 1. This event will also serve to present the 2026/2027 season of municipal activities for this group and to kick off a new edition of the "¡Vive los Viernes!" programme, focused on participation, community, and preventing unwanted loneliness.
The event will take place at the Valmores Cultural Centre and will begin at 5:00 PM with the start of "¡Vive los Viernes!" and the traditional tribute to participants celebrating birthdays in September.
At 6:15 PM, the presentation of the 2026/2027 municipal programme will take place, where the planned proposals for the new course will be announced, encouraging older residents of the municipality to continue participating. From that moment, the space will be open to anyone wishing to join the remaining activities.
Culture will occupy the central part of the evening. At 6:30 PM, Adela H. Herranz will give a recital of texts and poems, sharing her experience and artistic sensitivity with the attendees.
The event will conclude at 7:00 PM with the theatrical performance of "El móvil de Margarita", by José Cedena, presented by the group "Valmores A Scena" and directed and adapted by Miguel Ángel Simal. The play, lasting between 35 and 40 minutes, will provide a humorous and cultural finale to the day.
The activity is organised by the Municipal Service for the Elderly of the Department of Elderly Affairs of the Town Hall of Nuevo Baztán and will take place at the Valmores Cultural Centre on Friday, October 2, 2026.
