Students from IES Los Olivos catalogue the 220 trees in Pezuela de las Torres, with a notable presence of Siberian elms.

Students from IES Los Olivos in Mejorada del Campo have created an inventory of the urban trees in Pezuela de las Torres. The catalogue includes 220 specimens, with a significant presence of Siberian elms.

The Town Hall of Pezuela de las Torres has presented the Urban Tree Catalogue, a detailed inventory of the trees that grow both in the urban area and in the developments of the municipality. The work was carried out by intern students from IES Los Olivos in Mejorada del Campo during the past month of May.

The catalogue documents a total of 220 specimens, of which approximately one third are Siberian elms, a species particularly abundant in the locality. This tool will allow for a better understanding of the plant wealth of the municipality and contribute to its conservation.

The council has expressed gratitude for the work of the students and the institute, which provides greater knowledge about one of the natural elements that are part of the everyday environment of Pezuela de las Torres. The document is already available for consultation on the municipal website.
