The Community of Madrid has granted the Valdelaguna Town Council two aids for employment programmes that will allow the hiring of nine people. Most of the positions, seven, correspond to the programme against rural depopulation.

The Valdelaguna Town Council has received two subsidies from the Community of Madrid to launch employment programmes that will result in the hiring of nine people. The aids, managed by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment and coordinated with the SEPE, fund two professional activation programmes.

The bulk of the contracts, seven, correspond to the Public Employment-Training Programme for Professional Activation, an initiative aimed at curbing depopulation in rural municipalities. The amount allocated to this line totals 211,428.12 euros and the positions offered are: organisation and management technician, urban planner, two healthcare drivers, bricklayer, bricklayer's assistant, and administrative assistant.

These contracts will last for one year and will include 90 hours of transversal training. The incorporation of the workers must take place before 1 September.

The second programme, also for employment-training, will fund two more positions: muralist and education and leisure monitor. The granted subsidy is 36,906.72 euros for eight months of employment, with another 90 hours of training. In this case, the deadline for incorporation is 1 October.

Those interested must be registered as job seekers in the Community of Madrid and be listed in the occupation they are applying for, indicating their interest in the position. Those with relevant experience or specific training may also apply, even if they are not registered in that specific occupation.

Those who need to update their data or occupations in the job application can make an appointment at their Employment Office, either in person or by phone, selecting the option 'Modification of personal and/or professional data'. If they are not registered, they must request 'Registration or reactivation of the job application', and if it is their first time, the appointment must be in person.

Appointments can be managed through the Community of Madrid portal, indicating the postal code, type of office (EMPLOYMENT), procedure (JOB APPLICATION), and sub-procedure (MODIFICATION OF PERSONAL / PROFESSIONAL DATA).
