The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva announces the first edition of the Villa Condal Awards, with six areas of recognition and applications open until October 10. The awards ceremony will take place at a public event, the date and location of which will be announced soon.
The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva has launched the first edition of the Villa Condal Awards, an award scheme intended to be held annually that recognises individuals, businesses, entities, and institutions that have positively contributed to the municipality. The call is linked to the history and institutional tradition of the locality.
Applications can be submitted for 15 calendar days from the day following the publication of the call, that is, until October 10. Nominations can be made from the municipal sphere, either individually or collectively, or through the registered associative fabric.
The evaluation will take into account involvement in municipal life, the promotion of civic and social values, solidarity and inclusion, ongoing effort and trajectory, and the positive impact of the work carried out in Sevilla la Nueva.
Six areas of recognition
The awards are divided into six categories: Commerce, Industry and Entrepreneurship; Culture; Education; Citizen Participation and Social Responsibility; Sport; and Honour Award. Within these, distinctions are established for business innovation, entrepreneurship, commercial tradition, local commerce, hospitality, creativity and cultural talent, educational trajectory, civic commitment, and sporting excellence.
The Honour Award Estrella Sevilla la Nueva will recognise a local figure for their life or professional trajectory and their connection to the municipality. The rules require a minimum of five years of involvement and contribution to Sevilla la Nueva.
A Valuation Commission made up of representatives and technicians from different municipal areas and members of the Corporation will examine the applications, adhering to principles of objectivity, equality, merit, transparency, and non-discrimination.
The Town Hall has set up a public application submission form and has published the complete rules on the municipal website. The award ceremony will be held at a public event organised by the Town Hall; the date, time, and location will be communicated soon through the municipal website and official channels.
