The Valdemoro Town Hall has updated its website, www.valdemoro.es, keeping the same address while changing its organisation, design, and technology. The main change is a search function that prioritises the most useful content based on the query, ahead of other news or related publications.
The homepage prominently features the search function, under the question “How can we help you?”. When typing “registration”, for example, the corresponding procedure and instructions for completing it appear first.
From the homepage, users can also access appointments, the Electronic Headquarters, tax management, and administrative procedures, as well as resources for employment and training. The website is mobile and tablet-friendly, allowing tasks to be completed without a computer.
The update includes accessibility improvements for people with disabilities, such as greater visual contrast, clearer organisation of content, and navigation via keyboard or screen readers. The platform uses Drupal, a content management system that facilitates its maintenance.
Residents can rate the usefulness of the content, report errors, and suggest improvements from the bottom of the homepage. News and the municipal activities calendar also have dedicated spaces on the website.
