The Town Hall of Villanueva de Perales is organising a big game hunt on October 10 at the Dehesa Municipal, with 45 spots available and trophy options for fallow deer, roe deer, and wild boar.
The Town Hall of Villanueva de Perales has announced a big game hunt to be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the Dehesa Municipal, an area of 520 hectares designated for this activity. The day, which will offer trophy options, will focus on the species of fallow deer, roe deer, and wild boar.
The number of participants is limited to 45 spots, a measure that, according to the Town Hall, aims to ensure organisation and compliance with safety regulations. Registrations for residents of the municipality are already open and will close on September 25, with a fee of 250 euros per spot.
If there are any spots left after that date, participation will be opened to non-residents, who will need to pay 350 euros. Payment can be made via bank transfer to account ES63 0030 1151 3200 0059 2271, indicating name, surname, and the concept “Hunt at the Dehesa”, or in cash at the municipal offices.
The hunt is a traditional collective big game hunting modality in Spain, where a group of hunters and hunting dogs conduct a drive in a designated area. The Town Hall defends this activity as part of the local hunting tradition, with social, cultural, economic, and environmental impacts on the municipality.
Due to the nature of the activity, access to the Dehesa Municipal will be restricted throughout the day on October 10 for walkers, sportspeople, and pets. The Town Hall asks residents to respect the signage and temporary fencing installed in the area.
Interested parties can formalise their registration at the Town Hall until September 25, during public service hours.
