El Deleite Stadium hosts the 21st International Grand Prix of Strength Athletes Villa de Aranjuez on Saturday, August 29, with free entry and athletes from four countries.

The El Deleite Stadium in Aranjuez will host the twenty-first edition of the International Grand Prix of Strength Athletes Villa de Aranjuez next Saturday, August 29, starting at 18:30. The competition will bring together athletes from Colombia, Portugal, Egypt, and Spain and will have free entry for the public.

The event, organized by the Arancetana Association of Bodybuilding and Strength Athletes in collaboration with the City Council of Aranjuez, was presented this morning by the Sports Delegate, Nacho Benéitez, and the president of the association, Juanjo Villajos. Participants will face five tests that will challenge their strength, endurance, power, and concentration.

One of the main attractions of this edition will be the debut in Spain of the Steinstossen Unspunnenstein, a traditional Swiss discipline of heavy stone throwing. Its inclusion in the Grand Prix will allow this spectacular modality to be seen for the first time in the country.

The competition comes after Aranjuez received international certification in 2025 as a World Headquarters of Strength Athletics from the World Strongman Federation, a recognition that consolidates the municipality within the international circuit of this discipline.

The City Council encourages local residents and sports enthusiasts to come to El Deleite Stadium to enjoy a high-level competition. Entry is free and the event will start at 18:30.
