BTT Route Canal de Isabel II in Torrelaguna: 400 places and two routes

On September 27, Torrelaguna hosts the BTT Route Canal de Isabel II with routes of 45 and 35 km. Registrations are open until September 21.

The Sierra Norte is preparing for a new event on wheels. Next Sunday, September 27, Torrelaguna will host the BTT Route Canal de Isabel II, a cycling event that combines sport, nature, and heritage to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the public company.

The organisation has made available 400 places and two routes: one of 45 kilometres and another of 35 kilometres. The accepted categories are MTB, Gravel, and E-Bike, aiming to attract both experienced cyclists and those who prefer electric assistance.

According to the announcement, the goal is to "bring citizens closer to the hydraulic, natural, and landscape heritage linked to Canal de Isabel II." The route will pass through scenic areas of the region, with the canal as the main thread.

Registrations will remain open until September 21. The first 200 registrants will receive an exclusive commemorative jersey, an extra incentive for those who sign up early.

Reservations are made electronically: simply scan the QR code on the official poster. The organisation recommends not to leave it until the last day, as places are limited.

The start and finish will be concentrated in the urban area of Torrelaguna, a municipality with a rich historical ensemble that participants can enjoy before or after the event.

This route is part of the commemorative events for the 175th anniversary of Canal de Isabel II, which has scheduled various activities throughout the year to promote the history of water supply to the region.
