The Manzanares el Real Town Hall has opened the registration period, free of charge, for the VI Ping Pong Tournament of the Cristo de la Nave festivities. The event will take place on September 19 at the municipal sports centre.
Residents of Manzanares el Real can now sign up for the VI Ping Pong Tournament, which will be held on September 19 at the municipal sports centre as part of the patron saint festivities of the Cristo de la Nave. Registration is free and will be open until September 17.
Applications can be submitted at the Pabellón Polideportivo Municipal, located at Avenida de La Pedriza, 36, from Monday to Friday between 16:00 and 20:00 hours. The tournament will take place in two shifts: in the morning, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours, the lower categories will compete; in the afternoon, from 17:00 to 20:00 hours, the youth and senior categories will compete.
The competition will feature six categories, with a maximum of 10 participants in each of the first five, while the youth and senior categories will allow up to 25 entrants in total. The categories are organised by year of birth: benjamin (2017 and 2018), alevín (2016 and 2015), infantil (2014 and 2013), cadete (2012 and 2011), juvenil (2010, 2009 and 2008) and sénior (born from 2007 onwards).
The Manzanares el Real Town Hall will publish the tournament rules on the same website of the council once registrations are closed, when the exact number of participants is known and the match-ups can be configured. A document with the complete rules has also already been posted for interested parties to consult.
This event is once again one of the sporting activities of the patron saint festivities, which each year bring together residents and visitors around the Cristo de la Nave. Those wishing to participate should keep in mind that the deadline ends on September 17 and that places are limited by category.
