The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva promotes a new edition of its reusable cup campaign for the Patronal Festivals, featuring the 'PATOlavida Cup' as the star. It can be collected at Mesón La Perdiz with a €1 deposit.
The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva has launched a new edition of its reusable cup campaign for the Patronal Festivals, which kick off this August. The initiative, which was trialled last year, aims to reduce plastic waste generated during the celebrations and promote a more sustainable festival model.
In the previous edition, around 1,000 reusable cups were distributed among residents and visitors. According to municipal calculations, that amount prevented the generation of at least 8 kilos of single-use plastic, a figure that multiplies each time the same cup is reused.
This year, the campaign again features the 'PATOlavida Cup', a name that aims to convey the environmental message in a friendly and fun way. The campaign image shows a duck and a partridge toasting with the reusable cup, alluding to the collaboration between the Town Hall and Mesón La Perdiz, a venue participating in the initiative once again.
The cups can be collected at Mesón La Perdiz, located at Calle Mayor 27, upon payment of a €1 deposit. During the festivals, attendees can use their cup and, when finished, return it to get their deposit back. This way, each cup can be reused multiple times, preventing the accumulation of disposable plastics.
Enjoying the festivals is perfectly compatible with caring for our municipality and reducing single-use plastic consumption.
The campaign continues the experience of previous editions and aims to consolidate small habits that, shared by all, have a significant impact on the cleanliness and preservation of public spaces during the celebrations.
The Town Hall of Sevilla la Nueva thanks Mesón La Perdiz for its collaboration and encourages residents and visitors to join the initiative, which will be active throughout the Patronal Festivals. Those wishing to participate only need to visit the venue, leave the deposit, and collect their cup before enjoying the festive events.
