The Sports Councillor of Velilla de San Antonio, Silvia Castillo, met with C.D.E. Futuro de Fútbol Sala to advance the planning for the upcoming season and discuss the use of municipal facilities.
The Velilla de San Antonio Town Hall has begun a round of contacts with the sports clubs in the municipality to prepare for the next academic year. The Sports Councillor, Silvia Castillo, met with the president of C.D.E. Futuro de Fútbol Sala, Roberto Subirón, and the secretary of the entity, José Francisco Cabezas, to coordinate the 2026/2027 season.
The club, which currently has two federated teams in the benjamín and senior categories, will continue both teams into the next season. The shared goal is for the entity to consolidate its project and provide a stable sports alternative for its players.
During the meeting, the club's assessment of the recently concluded season was gathered, and aspects that can be improved for the new academic year were analysed. The sports planning was also discussed, and possible joint activities and events were studied to promote futsal and give greater visibility to the entity.
Another issue addressed was the signing of the document authorising the use of municipal sports facilities, which will allow to organise and regulate the use of spaces designated for training and competitions during the upcoming season.
The councillor also presented the actions that the Sports area will begin to develop from September to strengthen the protection of children and adolescents in sports. The clubs will be an essential part of this project, which will provide training and tools to technical teams, athletes, and families to prevent risks and ensure safe environments.
The Town Hall expressed gratitude to Roberto Subirón, José Francisco Cabezas, and the entire C.D.E. Futuro for their willingness to continue working in a coordinated manner and their commitment to maintaining this sports project.
