The municipality of Garganta de los Montes now has a defibrillator (DEA) installed on the facade of its pharmacy, thanks to the collaboration of the Community of Madrid and the College of Pharmacists.

Garganta de los Montes has taken an important step in public health with the installation of a defibrillator (DEA) on the facade of the local pharmacy. The device, now operational, turns the municipality into a cardio-safe zone, a key resource for acting quickly in the event of cardiac arrests.

The initiative has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Community of Madrid, the Pueblos con Vida programme, and the Official College of Pharmacists of Madrid. The local pharmacist, Maribel, has expressed her willingness for the town to have this vital service.

The defibrillator is located on the facade of the pharmacy, accessible to any resident who may need to use it in case of emergency. Additionally, the Town Hall has announced that an ATM will soon be installed in the pharmacy's porch, a service that will expand the available amenities in the municipality.

With this action, Garganta de los Montes strengthens its capacity to respond to cardiac incidents. The Council encourages residents to spread the word so that everyone is aware of the resource, which is available to the entire population.

This measure is part of other improvements being made in the municipality to bring basic services closer to residents. The installation of the ATM, scheduled for the coming weeks, will allow banking operations to be carried out without the need to travel to other towns.
