The Sports Councillor of Velilla de San Antonio has met with the president and secretary of the Velilla Volleyball Club to review the season and prepare for the 2026/2027 course.
The Velilla Volleyball Club and the Town Hall of Velilla de San Antonio have begun planning for the upcoming sports season. The Sports Councillor held a working meeting with Jesús Moreno, president, and Julián Redondo, secretary of the entity, to review the results of the 2025/2026 course and lay the foundations for the next one.
The club faces the new cycle with a federated women's team that, after achieving promotion last season, has managed to stay in the category. The council values this continuity as a step that consolidates the sports project of the entity.
During the meeting, the collaboration between the club and the Town Hall was discussed, a relationship that both parties define by willingness, commitment, and constant coordination. It was also agreed to sign the document that will regulate the use of municipal sports spaces during the upcoming season, with the aim of strengthening the organization of the facilities.
Another topic addressed was the project for the protection of children and adolescents in the sports field. According to the Town Hall, the Sports Area has been working on this initiative for months, which will begin to be developed from September and aims to raise awareness and provide tools to build safer sports environments.
The council has thanked the Velilla Volleyball Club and all the people who are part of the entity for their commitment and willingness to collaborate in promoting sports in the municipality.
