The Municipal Board of District IV is repeating the initiative after last year's success. The screenings will take place on Fridays and Saturdays in August at 22:00 hours.

The Espartales neighbourhood in Alcalá de Henares will once again have outdoor cinema this August. The Municipal Board of District IV has organised a new edition of Summer Cinema at the La Galatea Cultural Centre, with six free screenings taking place on Fridays and Saturdays of the month at 22:00 hours.

The programme combines major premieres, family films, and adventure titles, designed so that residents of all ages can find a night-time leisure option without leaving the neighbourhood. The cycle kicks off on Friday, August 7, with ‘Gladiator II’ and continues on Saturday, August 8, with ‘Smurfs’, a choice for the younger audience.

The president of District IV, Antonio Saldaña, highlighted that with this proposal they aim to “bring culture and leisure closer to the neighbourhoods during the summer months, offering free and quality programming in an accessible environment for all residents.”

The second week will feature ‘Jurassic World: The Rebirth’ on Friday, August 14, and ‘Bambi, a life in the forest’ on Saturday, August 15. The cycle will close the last weekend with the comedy ‘The Dinner’ on Friday, August 21, and ‘Lilo & Stitch’ on Saturday, August 22, one of the most anticipated family films of the summer.

All sessions are free to access until full capacity is reached. The activity is part of the cultural offerings of the districts during the summer, following the positive reception of the previous edition.
