The City Council of Coslada has presented the performing arts programme for the second half of 2026, under the slogan 'The Two Shores'. The season includes shows such as 'Annie', 'Jekyll & Hyde' and 'Madama Butterfly', and will feature accessibility measures in five performances.
The Municipal Theatre of Coslada will host a new season of performing arts from late September to December 2026 under the slogan The Two Shores. The programme, presented by the City Council of Coslada, includes major musical productions, contemporary theatre, dance and family-friendly proposals, featuring artists such as Joaquín Reyes, Marta Valverde, Coque Malla, Pepe Viyuela and Pepón Nieto.
The season will kick off on 24, 25, 26 and 27 September with two musicals: Jekyll & Hyde, by Theatre Properties, based on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, and Annie, the musical, set in 1930s New York and aimed at all audiences.
In October, on the 2nd, the 30th anniversary of Larumbe Danza will be celebrated, and on the 3rd, Mihura, the last playwright will arrive, a biographical comedy about the author of Three Hats. Family audiences will enjoy SUM, by Baychimo Teatro, on 4 October, and Tá, by Escena Miriñaque, on the 18th. Music will be present with Aromas de soledad on 10 October and Madama Butterfly, by Camerata Lírica, on the 17th. On 24 October, The Infinite Passion will be performed, and on the 31st, What Remains, featuring Chevi Muraday, which commemorates the thirty years of the company LOSDEDAE.
November will include socially themed proposals such as Timón de Atenas on the 8th and Thermal Sensation on the 14th, which addresses abusive relationships. The programming will be completed on 15 November with more titles that the council will detail soon.
The season is characterised by gender parity in direction: more than half of the shows are directed by women such as Silvia Villaú, Beatriz Jaén, Ana Contreras, Lorena Fernández, Vanessa Espín, Esther Berzal, María Goiricelaya and María Cárdenas.
In terms of accessibility, five performances will incorporate specific measures: Mihura, the last playwright, Burladas, Dysphoria, The Truth and Dancing the Silence. These will feature adapted subtitles, audio description, individual magnetic loops and sound via headphones, as well as amplified room sound with headphones. The aim is to eliminate barriers for people with sensory disabilities and the elderly.
