From September 18 to 20, Coslada hosts the sixth edition of Coslada Radial, featuring dance, theatre, music, and workshops in various locations around the city. Most activities are free or have a symbolic cost of one euro.
The Coslada Radial festival returns to the city from September 18 to 20 for its sixth edition, transformed into a stage for contemporary creation. The programme, presented this Thursday, includes dance, theatre, music, family shows, unconventional experiences, and workshops, spread across different corners of the locality.
The Councillor for Culture, Emi Escudero, has highlighted that the municipality "maintains its commitment to accessible culture, open to the territory and to new generations." Most activities will be free, and only those with limited capacity will have a symbolic cost of one euro.
Dance once again takes a prominent role, under the curation of Juan de Torres Larumbe, director of Larumbe Danza, the resident company in Coslada. Among the scheduled pieces are Flowerheads Show by Elías Aguirre (Madrid); Baunsbak by Elvi Balboa (Galicia); Rito by OtraDanza (Valencian Community); Gravedad mutua by REA Danza (Málaga), and Grounded Gravity, created for the occasion by the Young Company of Coslada LD2, consisting of twelve dancers aged between 14 and 17 years.
With this festival, the municipality maintains its commitment to accessible culture, open to the territory and to new generations, with proposals where art becomes experience, encounter, and shared celebration," Escudero noted.
The festival, with artistic direction by Hugo Nieto, also continues the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Municipal Theatre, which began in May with events such as Coslada enamorada and The big party.
Coslada Radial aims to showcase local artistic talent, featuring several artists from the city in the lineup. The complete programme and schedules can be consulted on the municipal website.
