The Extremaduran novillero Jorge Hurtado will take the place of the injured Álvaro Serrano in the novillada with picadors on August 29 at La Corredera.
The line-up for the novillada with picadors at the Feria Taurina de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios in Colmenar Viejo has undergone a last-minute change. The Madrid novillero Álvaro Serrano will not be able to perform next Saturday, August 29, due to an injury sustained last weekend at the Plaza de Toros in Dax (France), as reported by the company Circuitos Taurinos, which manages the La Corredera bullring.
In his place, the line-up will be completed by the Extremaduran Jorge Hurtado, one of the young promises of bullfighting who, according to the company, stands out for his concept of bullfighting, his dedication, and his ability to connect with the audience. The novillada will feature novillos from the Blohorn livestock for the novilleros David López, Jorge Hurtado, and Ignacio Garibay.
The Councillor for Bullfighting Affairs in Colmenar Viejo, Felipe Mansilla Nogales, lamented the change: “We deeply regret this unexpected last-minute change, which will prevent us from enjoying Álvaro Serrano, one of the great revelations of Madrid bullfighting, and we wish him a speedy recovery.” Regarding the substitute, he highlighted that “he has burst onto the bullfighting circuits with strength and enthusiasm and will come to the Colmenar bullring eager to showcase his bullfighting.”
The Feria Taurina de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios 2026 will take place from August 29 to September 2 with five events: three bullfights, one novillada with picadors, and one without picadors. The full subscription includes all events.
On Tuesday, August 18, the renewal period for subscriptions for 2025 subscribers and also for new subscribers will open, and it will be available until Saturday, August 22. The sale of individual tickets and remaining subscriptions will begin on Monday, August 24.
Subscriptions for the clubs must be collected collectively by a single representative during the days of August 20, 21, and 22. The box office hours at the Plaza de Toros are Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00; on Saturdays only in the morning, and it will be closed on Sundays. On event days, the box office will open from 10:00.
