The equality programme has achieved a placement rate of 14.5%, with nearly 70% of jobs secured in local companies.

A total of 62 women from Tres Cantos have participated in the Programme for the Promotion of Equality of Opportunities between Women and Men, driven by the City Council in collaboration with the General Directorate of Equality of the Community of Madrid. The initiative, developed during the first half of the year, has resulted in nine participants already entering the job market.

The programme combines individual guidance, practical training, and personalised follow-up. As explained by the Councillor for Economic Development and Employment, Ana Isabel Pérez, the aim is to “support participants through the various phases involved in job searching today, from defining and presenting their professional profile to preparing for interviews and selection processes.”

The results reflect a 14.5% employment placement rate among all participants, rising to 18% among women who have remained active in the programme. Furthermore, the retention rate has been 80.6%, with 50 women continuing through the pathway to the end.

Of the placements, 66.7% have occurred in companies located in Tres Cantos, a figure that, according to Ana Isabel Pérez, “strengthens the programme's connection with the business fabric and the professional opportunities available in the municipality.”

The pathway has included six specialised workshops, including curriculum creation with artificial intelligence, registration on job portals, interview preparation and video interviews, and fear management. Active Job Search (BAE) groups have also been organised to put the learned skills into practice.

The Councillor for Family and Equality, Sonia Lolo, highlights the personal and motivational aspect of the programme: “Alongside these tools, the pathway has incorporated actions aimed at fear management, talent activation, and identifying and valuing one’s own capabilities.”

Of the 62 women attended to, 25 are actively seeking employment, five are working but looking for professional improvement, and seven are in selection processes. The City Council will continue the programme for the remaining months of the year, with new actions in sectors such as commerce, logistics, administration with artificial intelligence, and contact centres.
