On October 24, a bus route will tour the murals of six villages in the Valle del Jarama, departing from Las Navas de Buitrago. The activity is free and reserved for residents of the Sierra Norte of Madrid.

The Tourism Innovation Centre of the Sierra Norte de Madrid – Villa San Roque has launched a new edition of “Routes through the walls that speak”, a programme that brings the local residents closer to the urban art that decorates the facades of their villages. The next outing will be on October 24 from Las Navas de Buitrago, with free bus transport for participants.

The route, which will start at 9:30 AM, will visit six towns in the Valle del Jarama: Las Navas de Buitrago, El Berrueco, Torrelaguna, Torremocha del Jarama, Patones, and El Atazar. At each stop, attendees will be able to admire the murals that turn the streets into an open-air museum.

The experience includes a tour guide, local product tasting, bus transport throughout the route, and accident and civil liability insurance. Participation is free, but there is one requirement: to be registered in one of the 42 municipalities of the Sierra Norte de Madrid. Registration will be verified with each Town Hall.

Spaces can be reserved through the QR code that appears on the official activity poster. For more information, interested parties can call 630 430 128.

This initiative aims for the local residents to discover the artistic heritage of their villages and share a different day with other inhabitants of the Sierra Norte. The organisation reminds that the activity is intended for registered residents, so it is recommended to confirm registration in advance.
