The 35th edition of the Buenas Noches festival in Hoyo de Manzanares bids farewell this Saturday, August 22, with a proposal that fuses tango and jazz. The concert, titled "Los mareados," will begin at 22:00 hours in Plaza Cervantes and is expected to last 75 minutes.
The singer Sheila Blanco and pianist Federico Lechner lead the project, accompanied by Alejandra López on double bass and José San Martín on drums. Together, they perform a repertoire that combines original compositions with works by Carlos Gardel, Astor Piazzolla, and Aníbal Troilo.
The show explores jazz improvisation over the tradition of tango, in a constant dialogue between voice and piano. The ensemble aims to offer a contemporary perspective on the Río de la Plata genre, maintaining its essence while adding new sonic nuances.
This concert marks the grand finale of seven nights of programming that have included classical music, zarzuela, opera, circus, dance, and comedy. Entry is free and the event is recommended for all audiences, so a large turnout of locals and visitors is expected.
