Madrid will host the cultural fair "Letras Latinas" on September 23 and 24 at the Hogar Extremeño, located on Gran Vía. This event has been organised by cultural manager Soraya Quintana, who has managed to bring together prominent writers, journalists, and cultural figures from different parts of the world.
According to Quintana, the initiative aims to promote meetings and collaboration among writers, with the goal of being complementary rather than competitive.
Featured Participants
Among the participants is Ana Parada Casanova, a Chilean writer based in Australia and a multiple award winner. Juan Colón, known as “the poet of love” and president of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language in the Dominican Republic, will be the Godfather of the Fair. Another notable participant is Teresa Álvarez Olías, who will dedicate a special edition of her work to her literary journey.
From Italy, cultural manager Silvana Carolla and a group of writers will also be present, including Patrizia Raspa and Loris Babinni. Additionally, journalist Jorge Manzanilla and Killa Tedesqui, president of the European Awards, will participate. Writer Yamira Guijarro, originally from Ecuador and residing in Barcelona, will present her literary proposal.
Book Presentations and Music
During the fair, works such as "La segunda oportunidad" by Zoraida Barcia and the migration book "Siete historias," published on Amazon, will be presented. The latter reached second place on the Best Seller lists and will be introduced by its seven co-authors, who will share their different perspectives on migration.
Singer-songwriter Luis Ehapo Santander will also participate in the event, providing his music and voice to attendees. Elizabeth Peña will present her first book titled "Todo nació antes del vientre de mi madre," while Gladis Hernández will share her work "Dios y Venezuela." Felipe Mañana will also join this literary gathering.
The fair will feature the presence of over 30 Italian writers, who have prepared videos to greet visitors and join this celebration of letters and international culture.
"Letras Latinas" aims to be a meeting point for writers, artists, journalists, and culture lovers, highlighting the unity that literature produces and how cultural exchange can enrich experiences in a globalised world.
