The 'Enrique Granados' Municipal Music School will hold auditions from 8 to 17 September at the 'Carmen Conde' Cultural Centre. No prior knowledge is required, just a good ear and a desire to sing.

The 'Enrique Granados' Municipal Music School in Majadahonda has opened the application period to incorporate new voices into its three choral groups: the children's choir, the youth choir, and the Polyphonic Choir. Auditions will take place between Tuesday 8 and Thursday 17 September, inclusive, in the Multipurpose Room of the 'Carmen Conde' Cultural Centre (Plaza de Colón, s/n), from 17:00 to 21:00 hours.

The auditions are aimed at children aged 8 and above for the children's choir, young people from 13 years for the youth choir, and adults over 20 years for the choir. According to the School, no prior musical knowledge is required, but a good ear and a love for music and singing are essential. Both residents and non-residents of the locality may apply.

The auditions will be simple and adapted to the age of each candidate. The main objective will be to assess pitch and determine the vocal range. Interested individuals must commit to the scheduled events calendar, which includes concerts, workshops with guest conductors, and choral trips.

To register, simply scan the QR code on the informational posters and select the desired time slot. After booking, candidates will receive a confirmation email with the details of the audition. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Participation in the children's and youth choirs has a monthly fee of 4.72 euros for residents, while the Polyphonic Choir is completely free. This group, founded in 1982, is currently directed by Aiblín Brito and features Carlos M. Puga as pianist. It regularly participates in municipal and charitable events both within and outside the Community of Madrid.
